TODAY at Creative Action, we’ve been lucky enough to receive the magic that is ‘BlueSmart’. A carry-on suitcase we think Luke Skywalker would buy for taking a quick trip to the un-known in his X-Wing Fighter.
So we took the liberty of learning the ways of the force and becoming suitcase Jedi’s for the morning.
Bluesmart is a technology company that develops Internet-connected travel products. With proprietary technology and designs, the company creates unique physical products combined with software applications that help people travel better and smarter. The company was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Silicon Valley (San Francisco, CA).
The Bluesmart suitcase has the power to charge your mobile phone up to 6 times, an in-built scale, a location tracker and an auto locking system are just a few of the tricks up it’s sleeve. A handy mobile app built specifically for the BlueSmart allows you to lock your suitcase from wherever you are and even sends you the most heart-breaking text when you leave poor Blue behind after a mere 5 metre stroll.
At first glance, it’s a bit of a beauty, sleek, with sophisticated licks of blue. It’s light weight (perfect for getting those extra cheeky kilo’s in), lots of space and of course, carry-on approved!
What we found rather special about this product is not only the innovation and practicality behind it, but once you simply hold up the suitcase to know the weight (no more struggling with those bathroom scales and having a panic attack at check-in) it automatically checks with your flight details and airline to see whether or not you’re over the limit! How good is that?!
So if we use our mobile phone to lock/unlock it, track it, weigh it and everything-else it…what happens when our phone dies?! phew…good job the suitcase can charge your phone up to 6 times, but wait… what if we forget to charge the suitcase?! – it’s alright – there’s a master key (which is an actual thing, not a wizard) and if you lose that…then the world will end.
As a frequent traveller I am always looking for innovative ways to make my trips easier, I joined the Bluesmart Kickstarter campaign and got my Bluesmart in December, its already done 10,000 miles with me and its proving to be a good find, I especially like the glowing blue light, lots of people wondering what thats all about...
