Pantone Beer Packaging

Colour-coded packaging matches contents

SPANISH designer txaber has simplified otherwise illustrative beer bottle and can packaging down to a minimal, instantly recognisable label. Using the colour-coding pantone system, txaber has matched the hue of each brew with an assigned pantone numeral: pale ale 604 C and imperial stout 426 C, for example, replicate the bright yellow and deep brown tones of the beer, as poured in a transparent glass. seen alone, the vessel is an immediate and unmistakable indicator of what’s inside; stacked in a row, or on a supermarket shelf, a sea of gradient chroma sweeps the bottles into a vibrant and animated arrangement.
